Right hand pitcher and shortstop have been selected as All-Stars for the first time, joining left-handed pitcher Josh Hader, who's now been named an All-Star for the sixth time.
The Astros have had at least three All Stars named every season for each of the past eight years.
This year's Midsummer Classic is set for Tuesday June 15th in Atlanta.
In a press release, the Astros noted:
"Brown, 26, has been outstanding in 2025, posting a 9-3 record with a Major League-best 1.82 ERA. His .180 opponent batting average is also the best in the Majors as he has allowed just 65 hits in 104.0 innings pitched. Additionally, Brown’s .280 opponent slugging percentage is tied for first in the Majors. Brown was recently honored as the American League Pitcher of the Month for June after posting an AL-best 1.19 ERA and .130 opponent batting average in his five starts for the month.
"Peña, 27, has been one of the top, all-around players in baseball this season, hitting .322 in 82 games with 18 doubles, 11 home runs, 40 RBI and 15 stolen bases. He currently ranks tied for second in the Majors in WAR (5.2), third in the AL in batting average (.322), fourth in hits (102) and tied for seventh in steals (15). Peña, also leads all AL shortstops in OPS (.869) and slugging percentage (.485) and is second in batting average.
And "Hader, 31, has been dominant this season with an MLB-leading 25 saves in 25 chances. His 25 consecutive save conversions are an Astros record to begin a season. For the season, he is 5-1 with a 1.80 ERA in 38 appearances with 61 strikeouts in just 40.0 innings pitched. He has allowed just 22 hits in his 40.0 innings pitched for a .156 opponent batting average and a 0.73 WHIP. Recently, Hader was named the AL Reliever of the Month for June, during which he posted a 4-1 record with an MLB-best nine saves in nine opportunities. The Astros are 36-2 in the 38 games that Hader has appeared in."
