As firefighters battled the blaze, using hose reel jets and fire beaters, nearby residents were told to keep their window s and doors shut.

Crews spent more than eight hours at the rural location where Ridge Lane also had to be shut. A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "An investigation has now taken place, and it is believed this fire was started deliberately in a storage container."
