Published 6 hours ago1 minute read

The FCT police command has urged residents to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the nearest police station. This call to action comes amidst the ongoing investigation into the tragic attack on the boys’ brigade camping site in Zhayidna village, Orozo, which led to the death of camper Johnson John.

According to a statement by Josephine Adeh, the Public Relations Officer, the police acted on credible intelligence and digital tracking of the deceased's mobile phones. This led the Divisional Police Officer Karshi, CSP Mbang Usang, to lead a team of police operatives in tracking and arresting three suspects connected to the incident. The suspects are Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu, all residents of Wasa village, Karshi.

At the time of their arrest, three mobile phones were recovered from the suspects, with two confirmed to belong to the deceased. The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.

The statement partly read, "The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale reaffirmed the command’s dedication to a thorough and uncompromising investigation."
