UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State School of Music invites audiences to an evening of jazz at its annual Mardi Gras Concert on Tuesday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall.

This year’s celebration showcases the dazzling improvisations of Penn State music faculty member David Stambler on saxophone, along with an exciting lineup of jazz classics and contemporary masterworks. The program includes Cole Porter’s timeless “Love for Sale,” Miho Hazama’s vibrant “Mimi’s March,” Charles Mingus’s “Fables of Faubus,” and the hard-swinging “Crackdown” by Thad Jones.

Tickets are available through the Arts Ticket Center at this link. Prices are $12.50 for adults and $5 for students, with the box office opening one hour before each concert. A livestream will be accessible for remote viewers via the Penn State School of Music livestream page.
