MTHATHA - Obesity is often viewed as a taboo subject in South Africa.

People's weight and potential body shaming are found to be offensive, insensitive and undermining to those carrying excess kilos.

But the reality is that obesity and being overweight pose the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, and many other life-threatening diseases.

One restaurateur has decided to change people's lives one plate at a time.
