It’s been a busy few days for Elaine Porter and her Irish rugby star husband Andrew welcomed a baby boy on Sunday.

The couple are ‘on cloud nine’ after recently welcoming their son into the world, despite the sleepless nights every new parent will be all-too familiar with.

Elaine shared a sweet snap of her with her son from her hospital bed after giving birth, showing her breastfeeding her baby, with snacks and water nearby.

Elaine captioned the snap: ‘Sleep deprived and overwhelmed but on cloud 9.’ We’re sure all mums can relate!

Andrew and Elaine announced their little man’s arrival with a black-and-white snap, simply saying: ‘Our perfect baby boy.’

The picture showed the newest member of the Porter family dressed in a little baby grow as his parents placed their hands lovingly on his chest and he gripped onto their fingers.

The new parents haven’t yet shared the name they’ve chosen for their son or any details surrounding his birth, including the day he was born.

His arrival is all the sweeter following their heartbreaking fertility journey. The couple endured two miscarriages in 2024 before Elaine became pregnant with their son whom they called ‘the biggest blessing.’

Elaine and Andrew announced their happy pregnancy news back in January with a heartwarming picture that shows her holding a picture of the ultrasound scan.

As they told fans they were expecting, Andrew touched on the heartache they endured with their miscarriages.

He wrote: ‘Halfway there baby boy… 2024 was a rollercoaster of a year after 2 miscarriages, but we are starting 2025 with the biggest blessing and cannot wait to meet him in a few months.’
