Ogun State government has concluded arrangements to provide free training to youths on the repair of phones and other devices.

Cybervilla, a tech company committed to incubating business ideas in citizens of Ogun State, especially youths for self-reliance, will be facilitating the training under a Public, Private Partnership (PPP) initiative.

Information and Public Relations Officer, BIT, Olayinka Ezema, in a statement, said Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, sees acquiring vocational education as key to youth development in a digital economy, hence the partnership.

Chief Executive Officer, Cybervilla, Ifeanyi Adirika noted that Ogun State was a springboard for innovation, giving systematic attractions to investors such as Cybervilla and other tech companies to thrive.

Adirika, who said that Cybervilla had come to spread its tentacles just to support Abiodun’s initiative on youth empowerment, explained that 50 youths were targeted for the first cohort, adding that they will be equipped with necessary work tools as well as employment opportunities with the company and state government, among other benefits.

One of the participants, Mr. Timilehin Ajisebutu, while appreciating the state government and Cybervilla on behalf of other participants, promised to utilise the rare but free opportunity that would make them employers of labour in the long run.
