On Sunday, June 22, the loving mother shared a photo with her firstborn son, Ethan. They pleasantly smiled at the camera, with the young man wearing a durag.

Moraa admitted that he is cheeky while sharing how a conversation went down:

“My firstborn son is very cheeky. He calls me from school:
‘Mokoro rada?’
Me: Eeh rada.”

According to Moraa, her son would make the joke about how she has no clue how to respond to the greeting.

“Nakupigia niskie sauti yako mama yangu. Nimekumiss tu sana (I’m calling to hear your voice. I miss you so much),” he said.

Moraa, knowing her son, admitted that she missed him too but pointed out that he was calling to ask her for something.

He then asked her for some money to spend during the midterm break.

Moraa obliged, and he responded by saying:

“Mali safi wangu, thanks (thank you, my beautiful).”
“When he needs something, he calls me ‘mali safi.’ On a normal day, he just calls me ‘we mzee,’” she said.

The conversation touched many Kenyans, with some parents sharing their experiences:

@lucille_kerry254:

“Enyewe wewe ni mali safi. Ethan, we love you.”

@mamour_duchess_a:

“I love how Ethan has grown to be a cheeky boy.”

@__muthoni__v:

“I don’t know why this got me cutting onions. I am too afraid for my son to grow up; this kind of conversation got me realising how close I am to losing him. You are such a good mum.”

@lea.muthoni:

“May God bless me with a son.”

@Kayrenekaris:

“When my kid starts with a baby girl, I immediately know I will be broke. On normal days, it’s ‘kamum.’ Their love is kind and pure.”

In July 2024, Moraa and digital marketer Blak Aende lost their firstborn daughter, Marie Achieng.

The devastated parents shared emotional tributes online, though the exact cause of her passing remains unclear.

Moraa’s close friend, Sandra Dacha, broke the news to fans and urged them to keep the family in their prayers.

Death struck again in October when Aende lost his father, Dr Benard Aende Ogada, whom he described as a pillar of strength and wisdom.

Nyaboke, heartbroken, shared a tribute recalling her father-in-law's comforting words after her daughter's death.

She expressed deep sorrow, saying the pain was overwhelming and described him as her solid rock who loved her unconditionally.

Moraa admitted that it had been a tough year following the back-to-back losses.
