American filmmaker Chloe Domont’s A Place in Hell, a thriller that is hailing from MRC and T-Street, in the domestic market.

Neon will also be co-financing the film alongside MRC. Republic Pictures has also agreed to co-finance the feature and oversee its foreign distributions. Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman’s T-Street are to produce the film. This deal was acquired by Neon’s Alison Cohen, Jeff Deutchman, and Emily Thomas, along with Republic Pictures’ Peter McPartlin. Domont’s film debut was in 2023 with a sex noir titled Fair Play, starring Alden Ehrenreich and Phoebe Dynevor, which was acquired and released by Netflix. A Place in Hell will see starring roles from Michelle Williams, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Andrew Scott, as the feature centers around “two women at a high-profile criminal law firm.”

Neon is known for distributing some of the most groundbreaking films of the last five years; those include 2019’s A Portrait of a Lady on Fire and Parasite, along with 2024’s Anora and Longlegs. The film production company recently hit a notable milestone when it won its sixth consecutive Palme d’Or win with Jafar Panahi’s It Was Just an Accident.
