NBA - Dennis-Schroeder-signs-at-the-Kings
The Sacramento Kings (NBA) acquired 31-year-old German-Gambian international 6-1 point guard Dennis Schroeder for the new season. He is a well-known player in the USA NBA as he most recently played for the Detroit Pistons. In 34 NBA games, he averaged 11.1ppg, 2.6rpg, and 5.0apg last season. He also played for the Warriors earlier that season. The other team he briefly played for was the Nets.
In 2013, he was selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round (17th overall) of the NBA Draft.
Schroeder has been a member of the German international program for some years. He has regularly played for the German senior team since 2012 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2013.
Schroeder also represented Germany at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. His team got to the Semifinals and he had over 17 ppg and he was 5th best passer with over 7 apg.
He has played previously in other NBA teams (Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, LA Lakers, OKC Thunder, and Toronto Raptors) and Germany (Braunschweig and Braunschweig).
Schroeder has played in the final of the NBA Western Conference in 2023. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Europeans Honorable Mention in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
