Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has asserted that a country's development hinges on more than just political slogans but active citizen participation and dedicated effort.
Prime Minister Modi made this statement during an address to Parliament on July 3, 2025, as part of his historic state visit to Ghana; the first in 30 years.
“A country needs more than slogans to develop. It demands the dedication and efforts of its citizens,” he stated.
He explained that when people work together with purpose, it strengthens the economy and builds a more prosperous future, leading to widespread happiness and peace.

This high-level diplomatic engagement aims to revitalise and strengthen the long-standing ties between Ghana and India, focusing on cooperation in areas such as diplomacy, trade, and cultural exchange.
