National Bank of Kenya Puts up 9 Vehicles for Sale Amid Takeover by Nigerian Lender

National Bank of Kenya (NBK) has invited Kenyans to the sale of its vehicle assets.

This came after the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) approved the acquisition of the lender by Access Bank.
CBK allowed the Nigerian lender to take the controlling stake (100%) at NBK, which is a subsidiary of Commercial Bank of Kenya (CBK).
NBK announced the auction of nine vehicles, urging prospective bidders to submit their bids on or before Monday, May 19.
The vehicle brands are Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Jeep, Mitsubishi, and Mazda, among others.
The price ranges between KSh 240,000 and KSh 4 million, depending on the make.
NBK revealed that vehicles will be sold on 'as is where is' basis, meaning those in Kisumu or Mombasa will be auctioned in that location.
