NAHCON commends pilgrims' conduct as last batch returns from Saudi Arabia | TheCable

A statement on Wednesday by Fatima Usara, assistant director of information and publication at NAHCON, said the final flight departed Jeddah on Wednesday with 87 pilgrims bound for Kaduna state.

“The final flight departed Jeddah today at 10:30 a.m. approximately carrying 87 pilgrims back to Kaduna State.The return leg operation spanned 17 days after the start on June 13,” the statement reads.

In his farewell address to the pilgrims, Abdullahi Usman, the NAHCON chairman, said the exercise showed unity and cooperation among state pilgrims’ boards, airline operators and other service providers.

Usman commended the pilgrims for adhering to hajj guidelines and urged them to continue praying for Nigeria’s progress and for the nation’s leaders.

According to him, the pilgrimage offers an opportunity to form enduring bonds that foster peace, urging pilgrims to preserve the friendships built during the sacred journey.

The chairman added that the commission would continue to improve its services in line with global best practices.
