Governor Mbah conveyed his heartfelt sentiments through posts on his verified Facebook page and X platform.

In his tributes, Governor Mbah described Ejeagha as "a legend, a cultural ambassador, and a revered son of Enugu State." He lauded Ejeagha as "one of the finest musicians of his generation," emphasizing his "easygoing personality and a humility that belied his towering celebrity status." Mbah noted that Ejeagha's "fan-base transcended boundaries, and he was easily one of the most recognisable voices in music."

The governor highlighted Ejeagha’s unique artistic contributions, stating, "Ejeagha’s immense talent and genius lay in how he took simple indigenous folktales and turned them into unforgettable songs that resonate across cultures." On behalf of the Enugu State Government, he extended heartfelt condolences and assured the Ejeagha family of unwavering support during this difficult time. Furthermore, the governor pledged that the state government "will ensure that his memory is duly immortalized."
