to buy the rights to Lynne Ramsay’s psychological drama Die My Love. The deal, which was made at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, has the streaming platform distributing the film in countries such as North America, the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Spain, India, Turkey, Australia, Austria, Germany, and the Latin American territories. This is the first big deal for Patrick Wachsberger’s 193 since he founded the company earlier this year, selling it to CAA Media FinanceIt for a reported $20 million.

The feature had its world premiere at Cannes on Saturday, with lead stars Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson in attendance. The film is an adaptation of Ariana Harwicz’s 2017 novel of the same title, with only a minor change of the setting being changed from France to Montana. The screenplay was written by Ramsay, Enda Walsh, and Alice Birch and produced by Lawrence and Martin Scorsese.

Lawrence plays Grace, a new mother who is diagnosed with postpartum depression and begins “going in and out of psychosis.” Pattinson plays Jackson, Grace’s husband; Sissy Spacek and Nick Nolte play Pam and Harry, Jackson’s parents. LaKeith Stanfield stars as well, playing Karl. The Hollywood Reporter described the feature adaptation as “a thoughtful examination of a complex relationship and all the patience and understanding it requires,” adding that it was “a punishing watch that pays off in the end.”
