City Boy Movement has expanded its footprint with the opening of a new chapter in Austin, Texas, United States of America. Its aim is to sensitize Nigerians in the Diaspora on the economic impact of the policies of President Bola Tinubu.

According to the group, the move will also help to address misinformation on the president’s policies among Nigerians in the U.S.

The Movement recently unveiled its leadership at the headquarters in Abuja. Babatunde Peters and Oladeji Ojo will stir the Movement’s activities in the international community, with others being Ayodeji Folorunsho and Nnamdi Agbaji.

The group also pledged to mobilise five million youths for the president’s agenda, at an event ‘tagged ‘Stakeholders’ Engagement for Lagos Youth on Understanding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Renewed Hope Initiatives’.

Director-General of the Movement, Oluwatosin Shoga, explained that the Movement is committed to promoting the progressive ideals of the renewed Hope Initiatives of President Tinubu.

He praised their commitment to the group’s vision, and expressed confidence in their capacity to deepen its mission.

Shoga also noted that the movement has become a rallying point for growth, innovation and creativity among youths.

According to him, the group, since inception, has produced various high ranking political officials currently serving in the Tinubu administration. He therefore pledged the Movement’s support to the delegation in its quest to expand City Boy across the United States.

Peters on his part reaffirmed his strong belief in the ability of President Tinubu to deliver the dividends of democracy to Nigerians. According to him, the President and his team are working to ensure that those at the bottom of the pyramid feel the positive impact of its economic policies.

“We believe that Nigerians in the international community have a role to play in the transformation of the country, that is why City Boy Movement is working tirelessly to bridge the information and accessibility gap. My assignment is to engage with the Diaspora community, providing insights into the administration’s vision, and exploring ways to leverage their expertise and resources to support Nigeria’s economic transformation.

“I believe that by working together, we can build a brighter future for our nation and create opportunities for Nigerians at home and abroad to thrive.”
