Monday Night Brewing, the Atlanta-based craft brewery founded in 2011, is expanding its West Midtown footprint in Atlanta with a new indoor-outdoor experience called The Grove, which is adjacent to its current location and directly on a new section of the Atlanta Beltline Northwest Trail. The grand opening of both The Grove and the Beltline segment will take place in August.
Monday Night Brewing’s expansion introduces new hospitality elements, including a new taproom and a fresh slate of food and beverage offerings. It also adds an outdoor space with a focus on community, craftsmanship, and comfort. The existing West Midtown space (former taproom) will remain in use for private events and for the continued expansion of Monday Night’s beer and craft beverage production.
The Grove (670 Trabert Ave, Atlanta, Ga. 30318) will serve as a destination for beer lovers, event goers, and neighborhood regulars. It marks a bold new chapter for the brewery’s original home base, blending fresh flavors and outdoor vibes into the Westside landscape.
“The Grove brings new life and a fresh start to the Monday Night Brewing space that started it all,” said Monday Night Brewing Co-Founder Joel Iverson. “Thirteen years ago, we moved into an abandoned warehouse on a dead-end street and created an inviting taproom amidst a beer production space. West Midtown has been our home ever since, so we want this to be an everyday experience — a space to connect with friends, meet new people, and enjoy fresh beer, great food, and good vibes.”
The Grove expansion comes as Monday Night Brewing enters its 13th year of operation. The independent brewery now operates six taprooms across the Southeast, including two in Atlanta, as well as locations in Birmingham, Knoxville, Nashville, and Charlotte.
The expansion of Monday Night Brewing’s West Midtown location coincides with the opening of a new segment of the Atlanta Beltline Northwest Trail. The Grove will be adjacent to this section, which connects Northside Drive with Howell Mill Road. This provides direct accessibility and connection to the city’s most dynamic pedestrian corridor.
“When we see businesses like Monday Night Brewing expanding along the Beltline, it is another proof point that the business ecosystem we’re creating around the corridor is doing what it’s supposed to do,” said Atlanta Beltline Vice President of Economic Development Kelvin Collins. “At the Beltline, we’re committed to supporting small businesses in ways that uplift neighborhoods, strengthen communities, and move our city forward. The expansion of local businesses like this helps turn our vision into reality.”
Key features of The Grove include:
Gluten free options.
- Direct access to and from the Atlanta Beltline Westside Trail.
- Ample free parking among three lots.
In addition, The Grove will be hiring for a variety of positions and will host a hiring fair in July. Details will be announced soon.
Monday Night Brewing exists to deepen relationships over some of the best beer in the country. Co-founded in 2011 by Jeff Heck, Joel Iverson and Jonathan Baker in Atlanta, the company began when the trio began homebrewing in Heck’s garage during a small-group Bible study — it has since grown into six taprooms with distribution across the Southeast. Brewmaster Peter Kiley oversees brewing operations at Monday Night’s West Midtown and Garage locations in Atlanta, as well as Monday Night Social Club in Birmingham, Alabama. The company has also expanded into Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as Knoxville and Nashville, Tennessee. Named the No. 2 craft brewer in the U.S. by the U.S. Open Beer Championship, Monday Night’s award-winning beers are available throughout the Southeast in Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and Tennessee.
