The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Ceadir-Basket (20-1) on the court of third ranked Soroca on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by

Soroca 92-82. It ended at the same time the 20-game winning streak of Ceadir-Basket. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Soroca dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Ceadir-Basket's 32. They outrebounded Ceadir-Basket 41-28 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Egor Nistor (202-1993) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the winners and Adrian Railean chipped in 24 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international Anton Rulevski (194-1988) with 42 points (!!!) (on 14-of-9 shooting from the field). Soroca (17-4) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with SSS 1. Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Ceadir-Lunga: CBA Baschet (#4) and Comrat H. (#7). CBA Baschet (15-6) crushed visiting Comrat H. (9-12) by 26 points 84-58. Grigori Musuc (-2008) nailed 20 points (on 7-of-5 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Vasilii Hranovskii accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds. CBA Baschet's coach Vasili Utin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dmitri Chiurcciu came up with 15 points and 6 rebounds for Comrat H. in the defeat. Newly promoted CBA Baschet maintains fourth place with 15-6 record. Comrat H. at the other side keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Pervanciuc.
The game in Chisinau was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked UTM (13-8) played at the court of 7th ranked Pervanciuc (9-12). UTM managed to secure a 7-point victory 69-62 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Denis Turcan who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Vladimir Cebotari who recorded 26 points and 7 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for UTM. They maintain fifth place with 13-8 record. In the last game of round 21 SSS 1 won against Titan on the opponent's court 73-63.
