Minor Hotels Announces Management of New Palm West Beach Resort in Dubai

Minor Hotels, a globally recognized hospitality group, is significantly strengthening its footprint in the Middle East by assuming management of a premier beachfront property on Dubai’s Palm West Beach, currently operating as Dukes The Palm, a Royal Hideaway Hotel. This landmark hotel management agreement, in collaboration with real estate and hospitality developer Seven Tides, will take effect on August 1, 2025. This strategic addition makes Minor Hotels the largest hotel operator on the iconic Trunk of Palm Jumeirah, signaling a major advancement in the group’s expansion across the United Arab Emirates.
The newly acquired property boasts 273 upscale hotel rooms and 287 serviced apartments, positioned directly on a prime stretch of beach. It is located adjacent to the NH Collection Dubai The Palm, another Minor Hotels property that opened in February 2023. This beachfront location offers guests direct access to Dubai’s vibrant beach culture and ensures a premium leisure experience.
Situated on Palm West Beach, recognized as a vibrant lifestyle destination, the resort provides guests with immediate entry to a bustling promenade featuring upscale restaurants, beach clubs, and premium entertainment venues. Its advantageous location is also just a 30-minute drive from Dubai International Airport, catering well to international visitors and regional travelers alike, and reinforcing Dubai’s connectivity as a global aviation hub. Proximity to the city’s key business hubs, shopping malls, and cultural landmarks further enhances its appeal.
With this acquisition, Minor Hotels expands its presence on Palm Jumeirah to a total of 1,524 keys distributed across three distinctive brands: Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, NH Collection Dubai The Palm, and the newly added property. Each property embodies its own distinct brand character, delivering personalized experiences designed to meet the preferences of sophisticated and well-traveled guests.
The resort offers a comprehensive range of accommodation options, including elegantly designed guest rooms, spacious suites, and serviced apartments available in studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts. Culinary offerings are extensive, with six diverse dining venues ranging from specialty restaurants to poolside bars. Guests can also enjoy a private beach, an expansive infinity pool with ocean views, a tranquil lazy river, and a comprehensive suite of wellness and family-friendly facilities.
To align the property with Minor Hotels’ quality standards and brand philosophy, a soft refurbishment will be undertaken. This will include updates to guest accommodations and public spaces, focusing on enhancing aesthetics, comfort, and functionality, before an official rebranding is unveiled later in 2025. This effort signals the group's commitment to delivering superior guest experiences.
Travel industry analysts observe that this strategic expansion is likely to significantly enhance Dubai's appeal as a premier leisure and business travel destination. The addition of this large beachfront resort and serviced residences is expected to enrich travel offerings and drive increased visitor numbers. Analysts forecast that the synergy between the resort and Palm West Beach’s offerings will drive higher tourist inflows and extend average visitor stays, positively contributing to Dubai’s tourism economy. The property’s diverse offerings appeal to varied traveler segments, including families, long-stay tourists, and business travelers, broadening market reach.
Minor Hotels’ CEO, Dillip Rajakarier, highlighted the significance of securing a dominant presence on Dubai’s West Beach, underscoring its alignment with Dubai’s dynamic hospitality landscape. Amir Golbarg, Senior Vice President for Middle East & Africa, reiterated the importance of this acquisition within the company’s UAE portfolio, which currently encompasses 17 properties across five brands: Anantara, Avani, NH Collection, Oaks, and Tivoli. This expansion exemplifies Minor Hotels’ focus on leveraging strong local partnerships.
The partnership with Seven Tides is central to this development. Seven Tides CEO Abdulla bin Sulayem noted the enhanced synergy expected from the management of adjacent properties, projecting that Minor Hotels’ operational expertise will heighten Palm West Beach’s status as a leading hospitality destination. Executives from both Minor Hotels and Seven Tides emphasized the strategic alignment of vision and values, anticipating the expanded partnership will enhance guest experiences.
Minor Hotels operates over 560 properties, including hotels, resorts, and branded residences, across 58 nations, establishing itself as a dominant player in the global hospitality arena. The company’s diverse collection includes eight hotel brands: Anantara, Avani, Elewana Collection, NH, NH Collection, nhow, Oaks, and Tivoli, reflecting over four decades of industry expertise.
The addition of this Palm West Beach property marks a significant achievement for Minor Hotels in its UAE expansion strategy. As it prepares to unveil the rebranded property, Minor Hotels reaffirms its commitment to innovation, excellence, and delivering memorable experiences, further shaping the future of luxury hospitality in Dubai and beyond.
