Eleven people died while 400 were injured during the skirmishes, while others capitalised on the social media debate to offer some much-needed comic relief.

Minicheps, real name Catherine Jepkemboi, created one of the most viral photos of the day. The creative is known for using photo editing software to create mind-boggling images, with miniatures being her most popular creations.

In light of the 2024 anti-Finance Bill protests' memorial march, police were on high alert. They placed strands of spiral barbed wire along Parliament Road to deter protesters. The same was done along State House Road.

Minicheps jumped on the opportunity to create a cheeky photo that went viral on social media. The image shows the creator wearing a black jacket and purple pants.

She uses a long stick as a pole vault to jump over the razor wire. She added two anti-riot police officers to the photo. One of them appears to be running as if to deter her, while the other raises his baton.

She captioned the image with laughing emojis, prompting an outpouring of responses from her social media followers.

Some believed the photo was real, while others made jokes.

Minicheps previously told .co.ke that life changed after her parents separated, leaving her mother to raise them alone. With no stable job, her mother struggled to support the family.

After completing Class Eight, Minicheps dropped out of school so her younger siblings could continue with their education and chose to work and help her mother instead.

The visual artist also opened up about working with her animator husband, Meshack Korir, saying it has been a smooth experience.

She described their working relationship as effortless, noting that he understands her without needing long explanations. Minicheps said that when she's tired, he gets it instantly, making their creative partnership both productive and fulfilling.
