Meet some of the AfroBasket stars at the 2025 BAL Playoffs | FIBA Basketball

Published 10 hours ago5 minute read

Of the 16 countries that qualified for the 2025 AfroBasket, only three do not have a player in this season's BAL Playoffs.

PRETORIA (South Africa) - The 2025 Basketball Africa League (BAL) Playoffs look like a parade of AfroBasket stars.

Of the 16 national teams that qualified for this year's AfroBasket in Angola, 13 are represented in the BAL Playoffs, which will take place in Pretoria, South Africa, from Friday, June 6, to Sunday, June 14.

The large number of international players at the BAL Playoffs is intriguing, ranging from AfroBasket champions at the senior and junior levels to potential picks to represent their countries in Angola from August 12-24.

FIBA.basketball presents a list of current, former, and potential AfroBasket stars. Some of these players made an impact during the qualifiers for the African Championship.
