MedGlobal and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Strengthen National Chemical Emergency Preparedness - Ukraine | ReliefWeb

(Kyiv, Ukraine – May 16, 2025) – MedGlobal, a U.S.-based humanitarian organization dedicated to crisis response and health system resilience, has successfully completed two vital Chemical Warfare Agents Response and Safety Trainings in partnership with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES). These intensive trainings were held in and and aimed to build critical capacity among Ukrainian first responders to address chemical threats effectively and safely.

Led by MedGlobal’s expert medical volunteers — — the multi-day sessions combined theoretical instruction with hands-on simulations in identifying chemical agents, decontamination protocols, and urgent care for affected individuals. With growing global concern over chemical warfare scenarios, the training provided SES personnel with life-saving tools to respond swiftly and confidently.

In Khmelnytskyi, the training expanded into a comprehensive knowledge exchange with the SES radiation, chemical, and biological protection unit. Discussions covered emergency field operations, decontamination strategies, and advanced monitoring of contaminated zones.

Participants received certificates of completion from MedGlobal.
