Marvel's Phase 6 is set to advance the Multiverse Saga with a lineup of live-action movies featuring new team-ups, debuts, and returning heroes. Key release dates have been confirmed, and casting updates are reshaping the MCU.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is slated for release on July 25, 2025. This film will introduce the MCU's version of the Fantastic Four, set in a 1960s-inspired environment. The cast includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. Julia Garner will portray the Silver Surfer (Shalla-Bal), and Ralph Ineson will play Galactus. Filming has concluded, with the first trailer released on February 4, 2025.
Avengers: Doomsday, previously known as Avengers 5, is set to premiere on May 1, 2026. The film will feature Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom and will be directed by the Russo brothers, with Michael Waldron penning the script. The Fantastic Four and Thunderbolts will also be included. The storyline was revised following Marvel's decision to part ways with Jonathan Majors, who was initially cast as Kang.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for release on July 31, 2026. Tom Holland will reprise his role as Spider-Man in the fourth installment, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. The story will follow Peter Parker after the events of Avengers: Doomsday. Production is anticipated to commence in 2025. Avengers: Secret Wars is set to conclude the Multiverse Saga on May 7, 2027. Michael Waldron is writing the script, and the Russo brothers are directing. The film is expected to adapt the 2015 comic storyline, centering around Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom and featuring numerous major MCU characters from across the multiverse.
Several projects, including Blade, Black Panther 3, Shang-Chi 2, Thor 5, Armor Wars, X-Men, and Doctor Strange 3, are likely to be moved to Phase 7.
