Mbeki criticises Rasool over his comments on Trump
TSHWANE - While South Africa's former ambassador to the US, Ebrahim Rasool, may have been welcomed by many upon his return, not everyone is pleased.
Former President, Thabo Mbeki, has criticised Rasool for his comments on US President, Donald Trump.
Rasool was ordered to leave the US last week after Secretary of State Marco Rubio called him a "race-baiting politician who hates America".
The former ambassador was expelled after accusing Trump of pursuing policies and practices that the diplomat characterized as "a white supremacist response to growing demographic diversity in the United States" during a webinar hosted by the South African Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection.
However, Rasool, says he has no regrets over his comments.
