He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting decent work and fair labour rights.

The Labour Minister made this comment in an address to mark the Workers’ Day on Thursday, May 1, 205.

In his address, Dr. Pelpuo also acknowledged the dedication, resilience, and hard work of the country’s workforce, which he described as the driving force behind national progress.

“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all Ghanaian workers whose dedication, resilience and hard work continue to drive our nation forward,” he said.

He urged both employers and government stakeholders to renew their commitment to decent work, fair wages, and safe working conditions across all sectors.

“Let’s renew our collective commitment to decent work, fair wages and safe working conditions for all. The government remains steadfast in advancing policies that promote job creation, protect workers’ rights and ensure dignity in labour,” he reassured.

Dr. Pelpuo also used the occasion to highlight the importance of the ongoing national reset agenda, saying workers remain central to achieving meaningful development.

“Especially, in a rapidly changing world of work. Happy Labour Day to every worker across Ghana; your contribution is the backbone of our development. Afeyhia pa, and God bless you all, as we move our nation forward and give us the development we require, especially in a situation where we’re resetting this country. We wish you the best,” he further noted.
