Mariah Carey styled black boots from Chanel with a knit Tom Ford dress for an outing in London on Tuesday, following her performance at Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
Carey modeled a pair of black leather knee-high boots from the French fashion house to complete a monochrome ensemble. The shoes featured a rounded toe and block heel, providing the pop star with a boost in height. The shaft featured some slouching at the ankle, which heightened the textural intrigue of the set. The interlocking C logo of Chanel could be seen on the back of the block heel, a subtle branding moment for the classic shoe style.
The set was reminiscent of the black Chanel knee-high boots worn by Blake Lively to a London photo call for “Another Simple Favor” in April, though hers featured a slight platform and seemingly a taller shaft and heel. Both sets of shoes included an understated linear indentation at the vamp which created Chanel’s signature cap toe look.
Carey’s shoes complemented sheer black tights and a long-sleeved black knit minidress from Tom Ford, designed with a fitted silhouette and square neckline. The singer-songwriter wore her hair in loose waves, showcasing her famous blond color, and accessorized her look with bejeweled sunglasses, which fell in line with the sparkling and glamorous aesthetic she’s known for.
In addition to performing in the U.K. for the first time in six years, Carey was recently honored with the Ultimate Icon Award at the 2025 BET Awards on June 9, as part of a list of fellow recipients including Jamie Foxx, Kirk Franklin and Snoop Dogg. Her outfits for the event included a shiny gold minidress and gold platform heels, which she wore while performing on stage, as well as a floor-length glittering silvery white gown with a corset bodice, which she showcased when accepting the award.
