Loca Loka, an innovative tequila brand that blends the vibrant cultures of India and Mexico, has announced that its Blanco Tequila received its first Gold medal and Reposado Tequila received its first Silver medal at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC). Laurence Brady, Loca Loka Regional Head USA, expressed immense pride in the recognition, highlighting it as a testament to the quality of their tequilas since their launch in 2024.

Loca Loka Tequila is distilled from 100% pure highland agave, balancing sweetness and spice to capture the festive spirit of Mexico and the aromatic spices of Indian cuisine. The brand celebrates a cultural tapestry, combining the Spanish word "LOCA" (crazy) and the Sanskrit word "LOKA" (world) to represent a spirit that transcends borders, blending traditions, tastes, and communal joy.

The brand is backed by internationally acclaimed actor Rana Daggubati and music composer Anirudh, along with entrepreneur Harsha Vadlamudi. This partnership enriches the Loca Loka journey with creative storytelling, inviting consumers on a unique cultural exploration. Loca Loka Blanco Tequila features the fruity flavors of cooked agave and the earthier floral flavors of the Highland agaves, with the aroma of cooked agave leading to fruity flavors, followed by a subtle floral finish. Loca Loka Reposado Tequila, aged in French and American oak barrels for 4-6 months, offers a richer aroma and flavors, continuing the Blanco maturation journey.

Both the Blanco (SRP: $39.99) and Reposado (SRP: $49.99) are available in select retailers. Loca Loka is a joint venture between Rana Daggubati, Anirudh Ravichander, and Harsha Vadlamudi, who also serves as the founder and CEO of ironhill hospitality Pte Ltd, Singapore. The company's first venture into the AlcoBev industry was with Tequila in the USA market last year. The team plans to globally launch several other handcrafted tequila brands, each designed to appeal to a worldwide audience. Their mission is to craft exceptional spirits that appeal to a global audience and delight the palate while narrating a story of cross-cultural collaboration with each brand, maintaining a strong commitment to quality and authenticity.
