Justice Sir Dennis Dominic Adjei has been nominated to the Supreme Court
Justice Sir Dennis Dominic Adjei, a respected jurist nominated to the Supreme Court by President John Dramani Mahama, has appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Monday, June 16, 2025, for vetting and consideration.
He is the second nominee to be vetted on the day, following the earlier appearance of Justice Senyo Dzamefe.
Justice Adjei currently serves as a Justice of the Court of Appeal and is widely regarded for his scholarship in constitutional, human rights, and criminal law.
He has also contributed significantly to judicial education in Ghana and across Africa.
He is a faculty member at the Judicial Training Institute and has served as a resource person for several international legal bodies, including the Commonwealth Secretariat and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
Notably, he was elected to the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights in 2016, where he served as a judge until the end of his term.
Justice Adjei is also known for his extensive writings and lectures on human rights, judicial ethics, and access to justice.
