A lightning strike has caused a building to catch fire on a farm in Aberdeenshire.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched nine appliances and a height vehicle to the scene near the A975 at Newburgh on Sunday afternoon.

No one was reported to be injured in the incident, which came after an intense period of stormy weather.

A fire service spokesperson said crews remain on the scene.
