Lebanon - Best-players-of-Lebanese-LBL-round-8
Dominican Rep.-American Anyeuri Castillo (201-F-1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Mayrouba and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 38 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Al Markaziyyah (#9, 3-5) 97-88. Mayrouba is placed at 5th position in Lebanese LBL. Mayrouba is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Castillo had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range and got seven three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Mayrouba, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of South Carolina - Aiken graduate has very impressive stats this year. Castillo is in league's top in points (2nd best: 28.8ppg), rebounds (8th best: 9.1rpg) and averages solid 1.5bpg,2.6spg,50.5% FGP and 45.0% from behind 3-point line.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Michael Watkins (206-F-1995) of
CS Antonine. Watkins impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 24 rebounds. Of course he led Antonine to another comfortable win 101-84 over Homentmen (3-5) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Antonine to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Watkins is one of the most experienced players at Antonine and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. The third best performed player last round was another Antonine's star - American Kerwin Roach II (192-PG-1996). Roach II showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 10 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of CS Antonine, helping his team with a
101-84 easy win against Homentmen (3-5). The chances of Antonine not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Roach II could try to bring Antonine's a little bit higher in the standings. Roach II has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.3apg (9th best).Other top performing players last week:

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
