Bosnia - Markus-Loncar-ex-Antonine-is-a-newcomer-at-Dreamers
Formosa Dreamers (TPBL) added to their roster 28-year old Bosnian-Bosnia and Herzegovina international center Markus Loncar (213cm-1996). He is a dual citizen owning also Croatian passport. He just played at CS Antonine in Lebanese LBL league. In 5 games just recently he recorded 12.4ppg, 9.8rpg, 1.2apg and 1.2bpg this season. This season he played at KK Cibona VIP Zagreb (Premijer Liga) in Croatia. Loncar also played 4 games in Croatian Premijer Liga where he averaged 7.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.0spg and 1.8bpg. The other team he played shortly was Al Nasr Riyadh (SBL) in Saudi Arabian league.
He has been also a member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina international program for some years. Loncar has regularly played for the Bosnia and Herzegovina senior team since 2017 and previously for the Under 20 National Team back in 2016.
He also represented Bosnia at the FIBA World Cup 2019 Qualifiers six years ago. During this event he scored an average of 0.8 points per game and had 1 rebounds per game.
Loncar is quite experienced player. He has played also in Bosnia (Siroki), Croatia (Cedevita, Zabok, Bosco and KK Cedevita Junior Zagreb), Germany (Braunschweig), Poland (Enea Astoria and Stal), Portugal (FC Porto) and Saudi Arabia (Al Taawoun).
Among many awards he won European North Basketball League championship title in 2023. Loncar was voted to Asia-Basket.com Saudi Arabian SBL All-Imports Team in 2024.
