The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has urged residents to view their votes as an investment in the state’s development.

APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, made the appeal on Thursday at the Lagos West 1 Senatorial District mega rally, held at the Ifako-Ijaiye mini stadium, while campaigning for the party’s candidates in the July 12 local government elections.

Ojelabi encouraged residents to vote for APC candidates, promising that they would bring development to the grassroots level, particularly in areas such as agriculture, education, and healthcare.

He noted the party’s achievements at the federal and state levels, citing President Bola Tinubu’s economic initiatives and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s developmental projects in Lagos State.

He assured that the party’s 57 chairmanship candidates would bring similar development to the local government level if elected.

Ojelabi called on party supporters to rally behind the party’s candidates, emphasising that the party, which has been in power in Lagos State since 1999, is committed to delivering development to the grassroots level.

He also encouraged party loyalists to engage with their neighbours and persuade them to support the APC candidates.

The APC chairman emphasised the party’s commitment to collaborating with the people to enhance their lives and pledged that the party’s candidates would support the governor’s initiatives and contribute to the state’s development.
