Kotokuom residents praise President Mahama over swift construction of bridge
Residents of Kotokuom in the Atwima Mponua District in the Ashanti Region have heaped praises on President John Dramani Mahama following the successful completion of the Kotokuom Bridge, a critical infrastructure project that was completed in just three months after construction began.
The bridge, which connects several farming communities in the district, had been in a deplorable state for years, posing a danger to commuters and hindering the transportation of goods and services.
Its poor condition had long been a source of frustration for residents, particularly farmers who rely on the route to transport their produce to market.
In a video posted on X by eddie_wrt on June 24, 2025, the rapid pace of work and the quality of the completed project has garnered widespread commendation from local residents.
“This bridge has been a major problem for us for years. We are very grateful to President Mahama and the roads minister for responding to our plight. This shows that the government listens,” said one of the residents.
Community members have pledged their continued support for the government, describing the project as a sign of responsive leadership and commitment to rural development.
The completion of the Kotokuom Bridge is expected to significantly improve transportation, boost local commerce, and enhance safety for residents and commuters alike.
