Knights Deny Sakers a KBL Finals Sweep

The SEOUL SK Knights have staved off elimination in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) Finals, winning Games Four and Five against Carl Tamayo and the Changwon LG Sakers. The Knights avoided being swept, showcasing a strong response after falling behind in the series.

In Game Five, held at Jamsil Student Gymnasium on Tuesday, Seoul dominated with an 86-56 victory. Jameel Warney led the charge with 17 points and 10 rebounds, supported by An Young-jun who scored 21 points, including two three-pointers, and Isaiah Hicks who added 16 points and seven rebounds. Juan Gomez de Liaño saw limited action, playing only three minutes for the Knights. On the Sakers' side, Carl Tamayo was contained, finishing with eight points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Assem Marei contributed 12 points and eight rebounds, while Yu Ki-sang paced Changwon with 14 points.

Game Four, played on Sunday at Changwon Gymnasium, saw Seoul secure a 73-48 victory. The Sakers struggled, shooting only 24 percent from the field. Kim Hyung-bin led the Knights with 15 points, supported by three other players who reached double figures. Tamayo also had a difficult game, shooting 1-of-8 for seven points.

The series now stands at 3-2 in favor of the Changwon LG Sakers. Game Six is scheduled for Thursday back at Changwon Gymnasium.
