Klinzy Barasa Masinde and Duncan Kiprono were arrested amid investigations into the shooting of a mask vendor on Tuesday, June 17, during protests over the death of Albert Ojwang in police custody.
.co.ke compiled photos of the officer, who loves posting on social media platforms.
Footage of the incident showed the two cops confronting Boniface Mwangi Kariuki at Imenti House.
Kariuki had the masks he was selling in one hand and raised the other hand to protect himself.
He made as if to get away from the cops but suddenly fell to the ground, with Barasa allegedly discharging his weapon.

The incident drew widespread criticism from ordinary Kenyans and celebrities.
Many decried the display of a lack of empathy by Kenya’s police officers.
The incident further shone a spotlight on police brutality.
Through his lawyer, Felix Kiprono Keaton, Barasa denied that the rubber bullet that hit Kariuki was from his gun.
He claimed that it was a case of mistaken identity.
The lawyer further called on the Independent Policing Oversight Authority to take over the investigation, expressing reservations about the involvement of the DCI.

"I can't fix stupid, but I can cuff it," he captioned the photo.

Kariuki is currently undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.
According to doctors, he was still unconscious but had shown some signs of stability after undergoing emergency surgery.
While the object removed from his head was believed to be a rubber bullet, medical staff did not confirm this and have handed it over to authorities for forensic examination.
