Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaura local government area of Kaduna state have declared their support for Governor Uba Sani’s second term bid, citing his administration’s visible and impactful development projects as a clear reason for continuity.
The endorsement followed a media tour of completed and ongoing projects undertaken by the Kaduna state government across Kaura Kaura local government held recently.
The tour, which covered key sectors such as health, education, and road infrastructure, was led by the chairman of the council, Mr. Obadiah Sankyai.
He was joined by prominent personalities, including the state Commissioner for Internal Security, Barrister James Kanyip; Commissioner for Sports, Prof. Benjamin Gugwong, a former local government chairman and party loyalists.
Speaking to journalists after the inspection, Chairman Sankyai said Governor Uba Sani has shown a sincere commitment to grassroots development, which has endeared him to the people of Kaura.
The stakeholders showcased various initiatives, including newly upgraded primary healthcare centres across several communities, the renovation and construction of classrooms, and rural road projects linking hard-to-reach areas — all aimed at improving access to essential services and stimulating economic growth.
In his remarks, Commissioner Kanyip commended the cooperation between the state and local government, stressing that infrastructure and development are key to securing communities.
Professor Gugwong on the other hand added that the administration’s investments are laying a solid foundation for youth development, sports promotion, and social cohesion.
APC loyalists at the event pledged their full support for Governor Uba Sani’s second term aspiration, vowing to intensify grassroots mobilisation efforts in Kaura.
The tour which also served as a celebration of the governor’s achievements, ended with chants of solidarity and a symbolic endorsement, reaffirming Kaura local government as a stronghold for the governor’s 2027 re-election campaign.
