Captain Callum McGregor opened the scoring for the home side after just 23 minutes with a deft finish into the bottom-right corner, past Jack Walton in the Dundee United goal.

Jota had caused problems for the opposition defenders for the first 30 minutes before he bagged his goal in the 35th minute, cutting inside and curling beyond Walton.

Adam Idah rounded off the scoring in the 84th minute, securing all three points for Brendan Rodgers’ side as they march towards a fourth consecutive Scottish Premier League title.

Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told  that Celtic are expected to pull away from Rangers off the pitch too after their latest full-year accounts for 2023-24 showed their overall revenue increased from £119.9million to a new club-record figure of £124.6million.

This comes after revealed (January 23) Celtic have landed a guaranteed £38million windfall after progressing through the revamped league phase of the European competition.

Famous Celtic fan Rod Stewart has described Celtic’s dominance as ‘ridiculous’ and has suggested the Glasgow club need more competition.

Rodger’s side will travel to German giants Bayern Munich on Tuesday (February 18) as they seek to overturn their 2-1 defeat in the reverse Champions League fixture.
