Job fair held for armed forces veterans | Patna News - The Times of India

Directorate general of resettlement
(DGR), department of ex-servicemen welfare, ministry of defence, organised a job fair for ex-servicemen at Danapur Cantonment in Patna on Friday. The fair brought the ex-servicemen and job providers on a single platform.
The job fair was inaugurated by governor Arif Mohammed Khan and Maj Gen SBK Singh.
"Around 2,000 ex-servicemen from the Army, Navy and Air Force registered to seek employment. At least 48 companies participated in the job fair offering 1,800 plus job vacancies, 150 plus entrepreneurship opportunities," an Army spokesperson said.
The shortlisted ex-servicemen would be interviewed and screened and subsequently appointed as senior supervisors, mid/senior level managers to strategic planners and project directors, the spokesperson claimed.
On this occasion the governor shared his appreciation for
armed forces veterans
as well exhorted companies for giving opportunities to the veterans.
Maj Gen Vikas Bhardwaj and Brig D S Basera, were also present at the event. Gaurav Sah, chairman, CII Bihar State Council, was the corporate guest of honour.
