Jaxson Dart signs rookie contract with Giants
Jaxson Dart signed his rookie contract on Friday as the Giants locked in their future quarterback following last month’s NFL Draft.
Dart, the 25th pick in the first round, inked a four-year deal worth approximately $17 million that includes a nearly $9 million signing bonus, per Over the Cap.
The Giants have now signed both first-round picks after signing rookie linebacker Abdul Carter last week. It continues a pattern for general manager Joe Schoen of signing every first-round pick before the end of May since he was hired in 2022.
Only two Giants draft picks remain unsigned, linebacker Darius Alexander and running back Cam Skattebo.
Dart took third-team reps to start OTAs this week behind Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. Coach Brian Daboll said all of the quarterbacks will be sprinkled in with the first team at some point and during Dart’s red-zone drills on Wednesday, the rookie threw a touchdown pass to Jalin Hyatt.
