30-year old American guard Christopher Smith (193-G-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Chiba Jets and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 56.
He had the game-high 21 points adding eight rebounds and six assists for Chiba Jets in his team's victory, helping them to beat Ibaraki R. (#7, 13-43) 84-70. Jets maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Japanese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Chiba Jets will need more victories to improve their 38-18 record. It's Smith's second year at Jets and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Utah State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Smith is in league's top in points (3rd best: 16.9ppg) and averages solid 53.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Alize Johnson (206-SF-1996) of

Kawasaki Brave Thunders. He is American in his first season at Kawasaki BT. In the last game Johnson recorded an impressive double-double of 28 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as Brave Thunders was edged by the higher-ranked Sea Horses M. (#3, 37-19) 105-101. Kawasaki managed to keep the same 8th spot in Central. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 17-39 record. Johnson is a newcomer at Kawasaki and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Volodymyr Herun (208-C-1994) of

Osaka Evessa (#3). Herun showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Osaka E., leading his team to a 95-91 win against the lower-ranked Shiga L-Stars (#8, 7-48). Osaka E. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in West. Their record at this point is 29 victories and 27 lost games. Herun has a very solid season. In 55 games in Japan he scored 12.2ppg. He also has 8.6rpg and a FGP of 62.4%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
