Japan - Japanese-B1-League-round-60-best-performance-Charles-Jackson-by-Hoops-Agents

American Center Charles Jackson (208-C-1993) had a very impressive game in the last round for Kyoto Hannaryz, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 60.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Shiga L-Stars (#8, 8-51) 76-71. Kyoto H. maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Japanese B1 League. Kyoto H. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 33-27 record. It's Jackson's second year at Kyoto H. and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Charles Jackson averages this season 13.1ppg and 8.8rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jeff Gibbs (188-F-1980) of

Koshigaya Alphas. Gibbs had a very good evening with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Alphas lost that game 69-83 to the higher-ranked Tochigi Brex (#1, 48-12). Koshigaya A. managed to keep the same 6th spot in East. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 19-41 record. Gibbs is a newcomer at Koshigaya A., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Ryan Luther (206-PF-1995) of

Osaka Evessa (#4). Luther scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Despite Luther's great performance the Osaka E. lost 76-85 to slightly lower-ranked Nagasaki (#6, 26-34). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Osaka E. ranking at the top of West, however are very questionable as they have already lost 31 games, recording just twenty nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Luther could help Osaka E. to bring them higher in the standings. Luther has a very solid season. In 60 games in Japan he scored 14.9ppg. He also has 6.5rpg and a FGP of 60.0%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
