ITV Celebrity Big Brother 'suffers major blow' days before 2025 launch show - OK! Magazine
One famous face has reportedly pulled out of Celebrity Big Brother just days before the ITV show is due to return.
Slated to begin on April 7, line-up rumours include soap legends Patsy Palmer and former Love Island hunks Chris Hughes, Tommy Fury, and Mitch Taylor.
However, The Sun report that US singing sensation Macy Gray has chosen to exit chats with ITV bosses despite the production team's desire to have her stir up the house dynamics.
The I Try hitmaker raised eyebrows across the nation earlier this year when she was revealed and subsequently voted off as Toad In The Hole on The Masked Singer UK, leaving ITV audiences and Macy absolutely gobsmacked.
A source told The Sun: "Macy's fury at being voted out as Toad In The Hole earlier this year was such a talking point and bosses thought she would also make a great housemate."
Allegedly keen to reshape her image following a contentious stint on The Masked Singer, the singer ultimately opted out.
The source added: "She'd seemed keen to rewrite her narrative after The Masked Singer drama but in the end decided not to go ahead.", reports the Mirror.
A spokesperson for Celebrity Big Brother said: "Any names suggested for Celebrity Big Brother are purely speculation."
Ibiza Weekender star David Potts was crowned the winner of the 2024 series.
He triumphed over fellow finalists including Louis Walsh, Fern Britton, Nikita Kuzmin, and Colson Smith. When his victory was declared, the audience erupted in cheers as David burst forth from the famed abode with zest.
Post-exit, he expressed his delight to hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best, exclaiming, "Slay! I really did not expect this at all, thank you so much".
Fans will have to see who'll follow in David's footsteps this year.
Celebrity Big Brother returns on Monday, April 7 at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player
