After the derby win on Wednesday night, Rice raved about Myles Lewis-Skelly, but he also mentioned a few young players at Tottenham who seem to have impressed him.

Tottenham have had quite a few issues with injuries this season.

Spurs were without three of their first-choice back four for the North London Derby on Wednesday night, while they have had issues higher up the pitch as well.

That has opened the door for Ange Postecoglou to give chances to young players, and Archie Gray has been the biggest beneficiary of that.

Lucas Bergvall is another one who has come to life in recent weeks, and he was arguably Tottenham’s best player against Arsenal at the Emirates.

Rice has seen those two players, as well as Mikey Moore, play for Tottenham, and he has praised their fearlessness every time they get a chance.

He said on TNT Sports: “Do you know what as well? I’m going to mention them because they’re Spurs players, but Archie Gray and Bergvall, they’re both 18 as well and are playing week in, week out; Mikey Moore.

“There are guys in the Premier League now who are playing and are younger and younger and younger, and they’ve got no fear! It’s so good to see.”

Tottenham were nowhere near the level required in the game against Arsenal on Wednesday night.

The Gunners were all over them from the first minute and were arguably unlucky to have only come away with a 2-1 win – it wouldn’t have been a surprise if they scored three more.

That’s how bad Spurs were, but Tottenham fans will all agree that their two best players were the teenagers – Gray and Bergvall.

Both players showed more composure and intent than all the other senior stars in the Spurs squad. That speaks volumes and explains why Postecoglou’s side are in the bottom half of the table.

The big lesson Postecoglou would’ve learnt from the derby is that he needs to build this Tottenham side around Gray and Bergvall. Almost everyone else in the squad is replaceable.
