Napoli agree terms with Ishmael El-Amin, ex H.Gilboa Galil - June 26, 2025

Gevi Napoli Basket (Serie A) has reportedly signed 26-year-old American guard Ishmael El-Amin (URI) for the upcoming season. He will be joining fellow American player Ed Croswell on the team. El-Amin most recently played for H.Gilboa Galil in the Israeli Winner League, where he averaged 16.0ppg, 1.6rpg, 2.2apg, and 1.1spg in 29 games last season. In the previous season (2023-24), he played for BK Ventspils in the Latvian league, averaging 14.6ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.7apg, 1.6spg, and 1.0bpg in 7 games. He was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Latvian-Estonian Basketball League Second Team and Eurobasket.com All-Latvian LBL First Team for his performance.
He has also played professionally in Bulgaria (Shumen) and Latvia.
Between winning a state championship title in 2016, El-Amin was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Honorable Mention in 2023.
He graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2022, and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball. El-Amin also played for Ball State University for 4 years.
