Italy - Best-players-of-Italian-Serie-A2-round-38-by-Hoops-Agents
American Gabe DeVoe (191-G-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Tramec Cento and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Serie A2 Player of the Week award for round 38.
The 29-year old guard had the game-high 26 points adding three rebounds and six assists for Cento in his team's victory, helping them to crush Forli (#6, 23-15) with 19-point margin 86-67. Cento maintains the 15th position in Italian Serie A2. Cento is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 15-23 record. In the team's last game DeVoe had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Cento's top player in his first season with the team. Gabe DeVoe averages this season 14.9ppg and 5.7rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American Jaren Lewis (201-SF-1996) of
Del.Fes Avellino. Lewis impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Avellino cruised to a 101-90 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Juvi Cremona (#16, 13-25). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Avellino managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 10th place. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 20-18 record is not bad and everything may still change. Lewis is a newcomer at Avellino and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. The third best performed player last round was American Justin Johnson (200-PF-1996) of second-ranked
RivieraBanca Rimini Crabs. Johnson scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Johnson's great performance the Rimini Crabs lost 84-86 to the lower-ranked Nardo (#19, 12-26). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Rimini Crabs needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 26 victories and 12 lost games. Johnson has a great season in Italy. After 35 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.6rpg (3rd best).Other top performing players last week:

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
