AHMEDABAD: A 20-feet-long iron angle was placed on tracks near Ahmedabad late Sunday night in a suspected sabotage attempt, forcing drivers of the approaching Veraval-Sabarmati Express to slam emergency brakes.

Railways have ordered an inquiry. An FIR was filed against unidentified persons under Section 150(1) (maliciously wrecking or attempting to wreck a train) and 174(c) (obstructing the running of a train) of Railways Act over the obstruction in Khodiyar area.
