Of course! I’m Gavi, a singer-songwriter and storyteller. My music blends all genres, pulling from different influences to create something that feels true to the story I’m telling. I started writing songs in high school when I began having more heartfelt experiences that translated better into music than anything I had written before. That was also when I picked up piano and guitar, which really helped bring my ideas to life. From that point on, I knew music wasn’t just something I loved—it was how I processed the world.

I’d say my music is a fusion of raw emotion and intricate storytelling. Sonically, it blends modern pop, alternative, and soul with deep lyrical introspection. Think of it as emotionally charged, cinematic pop with a bit of grit and a lot of honesty. If you like Michael Jackson, Jon Bellion, OneRepublic, or Ed Sheeran but also appreciate the depth of an artist like Kendrick Lamar or Stevie Wonder, you might find something you connect with in my music.

Right now, I’m working on my next album and tightening the concept of Experience Albums—my interdisciplinary project that blends music, storytelling, and visual elements into a cohesive, immersive narrative. I’m also developing a new album that builds on these ideas in a deeper way. It’s a new chapter in my creative journey, pushing what I can do artistically and conceptually.

I think the most exciting thing is how much I’m growing as an artist and a thinker. I’ve always been obsessed with storytelling, but now I’m looking at it through a broader lens—philosophy, psychology, and how people relate to one another. This next project is about more than just my own experiences; it’s about the bigger picture of what makes us human.

This album didn’t just come from writing sessions—it came from real experiences. It’s a reflection of one of the most difficult and transformative years of my life. Every lyric, every melody was something I lived through, and putting it all into music was both cathartic and challenging. I also worked with some incredible collaborators who helped bring these stories to life—shoutout to Micah for being such a huge part of this process.

Music has always been my way of processing emotions. It’s how I make sense of things that feel overwhelming or confusing. Writing songs lets me take something painful and turn it into something meaningful. It’s like having a conversation with myself that I can actually understand.

One of the biggest challenges is navigating the industry itself—balancing creativity with business, dealing with setbacks, and staying true to yourself while trying to reach more people. Social media can also be overwhelming because there’s so much pressure to always be visible. I wrote my song What I’ll Never Have about something really similar—about chasing validation when the real goal should just be making something that feels real. At the end of the day, I just focus on the why behind my music. As long as I’m making something I believe in, the rest will follow.

It’s a love-hate relationship. Social media is amazing for connecting with fans, but it can also feel like a numbers game that takes away from the music itself. I try to remind myself that real impact isn’t measured in likes or follows—it’s about the people who genuinely connect with what you’re creating. Some of my favorite artists aren’t the biggest online, but their music changed my life. That’s what really matters.

I make content that feels authentic. If I’m forcing something just to feed an algorithm, it’s not fun for me, and it’s not real for the people watching. I’d rather take the time to create something meaningful, even if that means posting less.

The best way to support independent artists is to share their work. Word of mouth is everything. If you like a song, send it to friends and family, add it to a playlist, come to a show. It all makes a bigger difference than people realize.

Nostalgic Disney movies. Something about them just feels like a reset button for my brain.
