Infosys and FFT Introduce AI-Powered Fan Innovations for Roland-Garros 2025

Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, in partnership with the French Tennis Federation (FFT), has announced a significant enhancement of the fan experience for Roland-Garros 2025 through a suite of AI-first innovations. Marking their seventh year as the official AI and Digital Innovation Partner, Infosys will leverage its AI-first suite, Infosys Topaz, to deploy agentic AI and generative AI, aiming to deliver new, immersive, and interactive experiences that push the boundaries of sports technology, including enhanced and personalized match analysis and creative content.

The innovations planned for Roland-Garros 2025 are designed to deepen fan engagement and offer personalized interactions with the tournament. These include:

AI Commentary: This feature is set to transform how fans experience matches by providing dynamic and personalized commentary. It will capture every thrilling moment, delivering insights from player-specific points of view and offering point-by-point or game-level highlights. The AI Commentary system utilizes out-of-the-box large language models (LLMs) combined with agentic AI built on multi-agent orchestration to deliver real-time analytics and engaging narratives, making the viewing experience deeply personal.

AI Stadium: Expanding on the virtual reality fan zone concept, the AI Stadium empowers fans to create their own 3D tennis arenas. Through advanced text-to-image generation technology, users can employ voice prompts to design a variety of environments, ranging from futuristic landscapes to nature-inspired settings, all optimized for VR spatial immersion. This gamified feature aims to bring fans closer to their personalized tennis universe, redefining how the sport is experienced.

Generative AI Poster Challenge: A new initiative for 2025, this challenge introduces video generation to elevate creative fan engagement. Using prompts based on iconic French landmarks, various art styles, and tennis motifs, fans can generate short, AI-created videos. Participants at the Infosys Fanzone during Roland-Garros will have the unique opportunity to step into an immersive LED cube and see their personalized posters come to life. Developed with responsible AI principles, this feature ensures a safe and ethical exploration of generative AI's creative possibilities, with winners being rewarded with tickets and vouchers for Roland-Garros.

These new AI-driven experiences build upon a foundation of AI advancements previously introduced by Infosys at Roland-Garros. Existing features like Match Centre, AI Videos, and AI-Assisted Journalism will continue to evolve with expanded capabilities to further enhance player performance insights, fan engagement, and overall tournament experiences.

Beyond technological innovations, Infosys is extending its collaboration with Fête le Mur (FLM), a charity partner of FFT, to support tech-enabled learning initiatives for underprivileged youth in Paris. As part of this commitment, FLM will assist in developing tennis-related learning modules on Infosys Springboard, Infosys's free digital learning platform aimed at digital inclusion and social impact. These courses will cover topics from leadership and training to safeguarding for tennis camps and other sports. Furthermore, a group of 60 students will be offered the chance to visit Roland-Garros and participate in AI and technology workshops led by Infosys experts. Additionally, in a separate initiative, the winner of a competition to identify the biggest Rafa Nadal fan will receive an exclusive two-day experience at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Spain.

Sumit Virmani, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Infosys, stated, "Sports has been witnessing a tech-fuelled transformation and at Infosys we are excited to be leading the charge for tennis! Every year we create unique experiences for the Roland-Garros community on the back of our deep tech expertise.
