India Calls for Pakistan Accountability on Cross-Border Terrorism

India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has addressed recent diplomatic efforts, emphasizing the country's firm stance on terrorism and relations with Pakistan. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal highlighted India's commitment to fighting terrorism and holding countries accountable for supporting cross-border terrorism against India over the past 40 years, specifically mentioning Pakistan. India has sent seven political delegations to different parts of the world to promote anti-terrorism efforts and seek global cooperation in combating terrorism in all its forms.

During a press briefing, Jaiswal discussed External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar’s phone call with Afghanistan’s acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, where they discussed ways to improve cooperation between the two countries following a terror attack in Pahalgam. India's position on the Indus Water Treaty remains unchanged, and talks with Pakistan are unlikely amid ongoing terrorism concerns. Jaiswal clarified that the only discussion India is willing to have with Pakistan regarding Jammu and Kashmir is about retrieving Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Regarding the US blacklisting Indian visa agents involved in illegal immigration, Jaiswal stated that India has already taken action against such agents.
