Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a 14-year-old boy near a middle school in Wyandanch on Friday.

Suffolk County Police said the teen was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of minor injuries.

The hit-and-run took place near the intersection of 35th Street and Garden City Avenue around 8:30 a.m., police said.

The Wyandanch School District confirmed the teen is a student at the Olive Middle School.

The site of the incident was near the middle school.

Police said First Precinct Crime Section officers are investigating the crash, but did not release a description of the vehicle — only saying in an email that the vehicle fled west on Garden City Avenue
